Join Powerhouse curator Tuan Nguyen for an informative webinar on the contemporary fashion designers and creative practitioners featured in the Powerhouse exhibition Absolutely Queer.

Absolutely Queer celebrates contemporary queer creativity by showcasing the work of Sydney’s leading LGBTQIA+ artists, designers, makers and performers.

The exhibition explores the power of contemporary creative practice as a catalyst for re-shaping attitudes towards queer communities.

Dr Tuan Nguyen is a Powerhouse assistant curator and a researcher on LGBTQIA+ inclusion in Australian museums. He assisted in developing the Carla Zampatti fashion exhibition Zampatti Powerhouse (2022) and this year’s Mardi Gras / Sydney WorldPride exhibition Absolutely Queer. Tuan's career is driven by the desire to use innovative, engaging and inclusive museum practice to create powerful experiences and effect change.

This 45-minute webinar is designed for regional tertiary students, staff and volunteers of museums, and the collecting sector. A 30-minute presentation will be followed by a 15-minute Q+A session. The webinar is free, but booking is essential. You can pre-register your questions to Tuan when you book your ticket.
