School Holidays
The Powerhouse Summer School Holiday program runs from 20 December 2025 to 1 February 2026 offering a mix of workshops, exhibitions, tours, digital activities and challenges. Held at multiple locations across Sydney, our workshops focus on creative writing, engineering in renewable energy, digital animation and theatre and poster-making.
Families are invited to join tours of the museum’s collection or on the historic grounds of Sydney Observatory.
At Powerhouse Castle Hill, families can explore the latest exhibition featuring objects hand-picked by renowned children’s author, Andy Griffiths in Powerhouse Materials: Paper. From the comfort of home, kids can take part in Andy’s writing challenge by submitting a short story or record a message that will be sent into deep space.
This school holidays, there is something for everyone at Powerhouse.
