Volunteers work across the Powerhouse, from audience engagement to collection and curatorial research as well as supporting programs. The Volunteer Program offers flexible roles and training, and our volunteer team contribute their time and knowledge across Powerhouse Parramatta, Castle Hill, Ultimo and Sydney Observatory.
Powerhouse Internships offer hands-on, project-based experience for students and emerging professionals.

Public Art Intern

Powerhouse Program
As a Public Art Intern, you will provide assistance with project administration across three public art projects as well as project management support for Powerhouse Parramatta projects. This role will involve supporting project installations and assisting with FF&E purchasing, delivery and installation coordination. This is an excellent opportunity to gain insight into working with contemporary artists and public programs, while developing skills in project management, professional writing, communication, and organisational processes, including maintaining and updating project documentation.
