Project Coordinator

As a Project Coordinator, you’ll work collaboratively and across disciplines to deliver innovative exhibitions that bring the Powerhouse vision to life. We’re seeking a proactive, action-oriented individual who can manage multiple stakeholders while overseeing all aspects of project planning, design, and construction. You’ll produce documentation, contracts, and schedules; chair meetings; monitor progress; and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Your responsibilities include drafting budgets, managing risk, and maintaining strict compliance with Work Health & Safety standards to guarantee quality and safety at every stage. Experience in program and project management whether in exhibitions, festivals, live events, or other large-scale productions is highly valued.

This senior role will curate, develop and maintain the productive and programmatic gardens and landscapes of Powerhouse Parramatta. These include, seasonal productive gardens connected with the Lang Walker Academy program, retail and Powerhouse Made, cultural weaving garden and agricultural science programs. The ongoing changing landscapes of the Powerhouse will connect audiences and communities with the industry practice of horticulture alongside sharing cultural practices and histories. This program will significantly contribute to the integrated programmatic experience of the museum.

The Visitor Engagement & Operations Manager provides senior leadership for all visitor services and experiences at Powerhouse Parramatta. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and embedding a precinct-wide, visitor-centred culture, while delivering a world-class cultural destination that authentically reflects Western Sydney communities. Leading the Visitor team, the role will see you work collaboratively across departments to drive innovation in strategy, policies, procedures, programs, and operational frameworks that enhance every stage of the visitor journey—from arrival through to departure. As a key leader of the precinct experience, you will ensure site readiness and foster strong relationships with community, commercial, and industry partners. Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this position requires a consistent leadership presence across weekdays, weekends, and evenings to support site operations and the full breadth of Powerhouse programming.
