Are you passionate about museum collections and excited by the behind the scenes work that brings exhibitions to life? We’re looking for an organised and experienced Assistant Registrar to support the delivery of major collection projects, exhibitions, and digitisation initiatives. In this role, you’ll play a key part in safeguarding our collection, monitoring object movements, maintaining accurate inventory records, and assisting with installation, photography and digitisation. You’ll help ensure the safety, security, and care of objects both on display and in storage, all while contributing to strategic planning and high standard collection management practices. You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams and build relationships with external stakeholders including museums, galleries, and government organisations to support the museum’s profile and programs. From managing documentation and object movements to maintaining compliance with NSW museum standards and regulatory requirements, you’ll be essential in keeping our collection connected, accessible, and professionally managed.
