The Senior Mountmaker plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of exhibitions, programs and events across all Powerhouse sites including Ultimo, Parramatta, Castle Hill and Sydney Observatory. The role is responsible for all aspects of the mountmaking process, from planning, technical design, fabrication, installation and documentation of mounts produced for collection items as required. The role provides leadership, coordination, expertise and support to internal and external project teams, while managing, delivering and maintaining high standards, considering conservation practices, safety for the collection items, and WHS practices within the directed design guidelines.
