Japanese and UK artist collective Playfool and Tomo Kihara, will present their work How (not) to get hit by a self-driving car for the first time in Australia. The work challenges audiences to cross a virtual street undetected by an AI-powered self-driving car simulation and aims to become a platform to explore the flaws in these systems. Playfool’s work has been presented at institutions including Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the MAK, Vienna, and received an Honorary Mention at the Ars Electronica S+T+ARTS Prize 2024.
