Moon Festival
Moon Festival originates from an ancient Chinese festival of gratitude offerings to ancestors and feasting at harvest time. Celebrate Moon Festival at the highest point of Sydney Harbour, as a lantern parade transforms Sydney Observatory with lanterns by Truc Truong and lion dances by Qing Fong Dragon and Lion Dance Team, music by Small FRY and food from Mumma Le’s Vietnamese Kitchen.
Join a community lantern-making workshop held during the week and showcase your designs in a lantern parade as part of the closing celebrations on 2 October.
