JLF Sydney | Music

Celebrate the launch of JLF Sydney with an evening of contemporary Indian music on the rooftop at Powerhouse Parramatta.

Rang & Raga: India Reimagined journeys through the words, melodies and memories of India, reshaping familiar songs for a contemporary stage. Moving across Hindi, Tamil, Urdu and Sanskrit, the performance draws on the poetry of Rabindranath Tagore, Indeevar, Subramania Bharathi and Tulsidas.

Led by Hari Sivanesan, this 4-piece ensemble combines classical traditions and contemporary sounds from raga and folk to film and popular song to reinterpret music across languages and generations.
