Steam train rides with Locomotive 3265

All aboard Locomotive 3265 to Powerhouse Parramatta as this 124-year-old steam train runs between Parramatta and Riverstone Stations all weekend. Originally commissioned in 1902, Locomotive 3265 was the most successful and enduring steam locomotive in Australia and is from the Powerhouse Collection (opens in new tab).
Vintage bus rides with the Sydney Bus Museum
Shuttle will run continuously between 10am–5pm, 7–8 Nov
Free, donation appreciated upon boarding
Travel direct to Powerhouse Parramatta from Parramatta Station on a vintage single-deck bus operated by volunteers from the Sydney Bus Museum. The free shuttle will run continuously between Parramatta Station and Powerhouse Parramatta throughout the opening weekend.
NSW Railway Band
11am–1pm, 7–8 Nov

The historic NSW Railway Band will perform at Parramatta Station as part of the opening celebrations for Powerhouse Parramatta. Formed in the 1890s at the peak of the Steam Age, it’s the last band of its kind in Australia.
