S. Shakthidharan’s award winning memoir Gather Up Your World In One Long Breath is reimagined in a series of large scale, communal performances at Powerhouse Parramatta.

As the Earth completes one circle of the sun, Gather Up Your World In One Long Breath ebbs and flows through the museum. Performances spanning ceremony and ritual, conversation and community unfold across 4 seasons, from spring 2026 to spring 2027.

Creative director S. Shakthidharan collaborates with a world class ensemble of artists – including dancers Anandavalli (NSW) and Mavin Khoo (UK), sculptor Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran (NSW) and singer Aimée Falzon (NSW) – alongside hundreds of Western Sydney local artists and community.
