Moments in Waiting Celebration

Join us to celebrate Moments in Waiting, a major new community project and film commission by Powerhouse, led by acclaimed visual artist Khaled Sabsabi focused on previously untold stories behind extraordinary objects held by Muslim families in Greater Sydney.

The evening will begin with a conversation between Sabsabi and Powerhouse Senior Exhibition Curator Ivan Muñiz Reed before a screening of selected short films from Moments in Waiting. The evening will conclude with a performance by the Anasheed ensemble Ahbab Al-Mustafa from the Rahma Association of Australia in Guildford.
