National Youth Poetry Slam

Bankstown Poetry Slam present the 5th annual National Youth Poetry Slam, a one-night-only spoken word competition featuring original works by poets aged 8–24 from across Australia. Showcasing some of the country’s boldest and most urgent voices, their spoken-word poetry rummages through a ravaged world for reasons to rejoice, recollect, reimagine and reconnect. The night features a special guest performance from acclaimed US poet and writer Olivia Gatwood.
