Portuguese choreographer Marco da Silva Ferreira takes aim at what he describes as the rise of ‘militarisation, violence and toxic masculinity’ with this pulse-pounding dance work that pits military precision against the freedom of the dancefloor. Working off a slow-burning fuse, 8 performers shift between warriors, ravers and queer icons to test the limits of homogenising forces striving to shape identity and belonging.
