Urban Transformation Exhibition
Inventive and inspiring urban designs with the potential to transform Western Sydney are on display at WSU Parramatta Engineering Innovation Hub, located in the heart of the city.
This exhibition presents multidisciplinary design proposals from 34 Western Sydney University Masters of Architecture, Industrial Design and Visual Communication students, developed as part of the 2026 Urban Transformation Summer School, in collaboration with the Whitlam Institute, Fairfield City Council and the State Library of NSW.
Supported by Holdmark, the annual program challenges the next generation of architects, designers and entrepreneurial leaders to develop innovative design solutions to real-world issues identified by local communities in Western Sydney.
This year’s program focuses on Cabramatta in Fairfield City, reflecting on Gough Whitlam’s legacy as a catalyst for civic investment and urban transformation, 50 years on from the Whitlam dismissal.
