Powerhouse is looking for stories that reflect the connections between saris, family, faith and culture.

Powerhouse is inviting you to share your Sari Stories. Do you have a sari that has been passed down through generations, or one that was recently made and holds special meaning for you? We’re looking for stories that reflect the connections between saris, family, faith and culture.
Applicants will have a portrait taken in their sari by photographer Anu Kumar in a Sydney location of their choice and be interviewed by Aarti Betigeri. As part of a new series exploring craft, family, faith and culture through sari stories.
Sari Stories has been developed in collaboration with Dr Sunil Badami, Aarti Betigeri and Anu Kumar.
