Sari Stories
Powerhouse is looking for stories that reflect the connections between saris, family, faith and culture.

Powerhouse is inviting you to share your Sari Story. Do you have a sari that has been passed down through generations, or one that was recently made and holds special meaning for you? We’re looking for stories that reflect the connections between saris, family, faith and culture.
To be part of the project, please submit a photo of yourself wearing your favourite sari, along with a short description of why it is meaningful to you by 5pm AEDT, 30 April 2026.
Sari Stories has been developed in collaboration with Dr Sunil Badami, Aarti Betigeri and Anu Kumar.
Please see the FAQs below for more details. If you have further questions contact info@powerhouse.com.au.
