An annual initiative supporting Australian industrial designers working in sustainable design.

Powerhouse Residency
Providing subsidised work space for NSW-based practitioners and organisations of the applied arts and sciences that reflect the diversity of the Powerhouse Collection.

Holdmark Innovation Award
The Holdmark Innovation Award, presented by Sydney Design Week Principal Partner Holdmark, recognises excellence and innovation in engineering, architecture and the built environment.

Powerhouse and David Jones Australian Design Commission
Powerhouse and David Jones have established an annual Australian Design Commission. This partnership aims to invest into the next generation of Australian designers by providing them with the opportunity to design a prototype of a new product for the contemporary Australian home.

Established in 2023, the galang residency program supports First Nations artists and creative practitioners to undertake residencies at the Cité internationale des arts in Paris.
