This is a three day long workshop and participants must attend every day.
Express yourselves without words. Dive into the world of fashion in a three-day workshop led by Powerhouse Residents: Romance Was Born, Jordan Gogos, and the Australian Fashion Council.
Designed for senior high school students in Years 10–12, ages 14–18, with an interest in a career in fashion and design, the workshops will offer participants industry insights while giving participants practical creative skills, focusing on experimental design and collaborative creativity.

Program
Day 1 - Transform your inspiration into contemporary fashion ideas with Romance Was Born, who will guide you through methods of ideation, from research to mood boards and concept sketches inspired by the Powerhouse Collection.
Day 2 - Create with Jordan Gogos in a hands-on session exploring playful approaches to materiality, experimenting with fabric manipulation, colour application, and embellishments to produce small-scale design samples.
Day 3 - Join the Australian Fashion Council for an engaging workshop that unveils the diverse career opportunities within Australia's $28 billion fashion industry. It’s not just traditional design roles: discover emerging pathways in digital innovation, sustainable manufacturing, textile engineering, and advanced design technologies. Get the latest industry insights, showcase real career stories from industry professionals, and explore how the sector's evolution is creating exciting new roles.
