Inspired by the building’s iconic steel exoskeleton, learners will investigate engineering principles through structures, materials and design. They will examine how these principles are applied in engineering and architecture, using objects and technologies featured in the opening exhibitions and the Powerhouse Parramatta building as inspiration.

Through hands-on experimentation, observation and drawing, learners will explore forces, materials, load, stability and structural design. Working collaboratively, they will develop, test and refine their ideas through a series of design and building challenges.
