A Swell of Stars

A Swell of Stars is the first season of performances and workshops developed alongside S. Shakthidharan’s memoir Gather Up Your World In One Long Breath. This program explores celestial stories, diverse mythologies, and the changing seasons through shared acts of making, performance, reflection and celebration.

As a sculptural carrier of play and creation, Self Portrait, with Creative Matter (Clay) (2026), by Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, will be activated during A Swell of Stars. Visitors to Powerhouse Parramatta are invited to contribute messages to the sculpture, becoming part of its evolving story.
