The West Ball

The West Ball lands in Powerhouse Parramatta for one night only, transforming the museum into a vibrant runway. Led by Father Xander Silky and Jamaica Moana, The West Ball has become an important and exciting Western Sydney institution. Ballroom entrants walk across a series of categories, competing for glory before a panel of judges. The main event will be preceded by a presentation celebrating West Ball’s Of the Year Awards.

With respect to its origins in 1960s Harlem, New York, and the queens of color who founded the movement, the local Western Sydney ballroom scene has grown over the past decade and continues to evolve.
