For the duration of Sydney Design Week, Powerhouse Ultimo will showcase a selection of photography, architecture and design books curated by leading Australian photobook publisher, distributor and retailer Perimeter.

Powerhouse Shop will also sell a selection of limited-edition new releases and iconic titles from Perimeter relating to Photofields – an industry-centred program that engages with contemporary issues and ideas at the intersection of photography, architecture and design.

Exhibitor

Perimeter is a bookstore, publisher, distributor and art publishing platform based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 2011, Perimeter Books stocks independently published books, editions and zines spanning photography, art, theory, text, design and architecture. In 2012, Perimeter launched its in-house imprint Perimeter Editions, which has since published more than 80 titles, won several awards and exhibited at key global art book fairs. Perimeter Editions also publishes the PHOTO Editions series in collaboration with Photo Australia and has presented two biennial book prizes. Perimeter Distribution, the business’s wholesale arm, represents some of the world’s leading independent design publishers. Perimeter has curated exhibitions, including MACK: The Art of Publishing at Centre for Contemporary Photography (2018) and Libraryman: A Selection from a Decade at Reading Room (2019). Perimeter has also curated book fairs including Volume: Another Art Book Fair in collaboration with Artspace (Sydney) and Printed Matter Inc (New York), and Same Page in collaboration with Gertrude Contemporary (Melbourne).
