Leading international architectural photographer Iwan Baan (opens in new tab) presents his expansive practice exploring public buildings and the communities that interact with them, before being joined in conversation with curator and writer Elias Redstone.

Iwan Baan’s photographs capture life that unfolds in and around the built environment. He is internationally renowned for his human-centred focus that traces how buildings gather memory and meaning through lived experience. In this talk, Baan reflects on his body of work including OMA’s CCTV Tower (Beijing), OPEN (opens in new tab)’s Chapel of Sound (Hebei) and Francis Kéré’s (opens in new tab) Gando Primary School (Burkina Faso).
