Step into the art of world-building in a hands-on photobashing workshop with multidisciplinary artist Travis De Vries this summer school holidays at PHIVE in Parramatta. Learn new skills including the fundamentals of Procreate and advanced techniques of photobashing – the art of sculpting and blending images to craft surreal landscapes.

Designed for aspiring digital artists, concept creators and fans of film and video games, the session will help participants transform real-world images into unreal environments that push the boundaries of imagination. This workshop will help students to forge entire worlds out of layers of photos, texture and narrative.

Artist

Travis De Vries is a multidisciplinary Gamilaroi and Dharug artist celebrated for weaving contemporary mythology into his work. In the sonic space, he is known as Source Decay, crafting ambient soundscapes and immersive audio experiences.
