In a virtually-connected world, long-standing cultural practices of public shaming have shifted into online spaces, fuelling exposure, outrage and humiliation. And when the algorithm rewards outrage and humiliation, the scope for real world damage is huge. Aspiring Pacific Island journalists, including Fiji-based journalists Inoke Rabonu and Ilaitia Ravuwai, speak with victims and survivors of cyberbullying, as well as those working to make social media spaces safer and healthier.
