Powerhouse Parramatta Campaign

Redefining museums, Powerhouse Parramatta is one of the world's most significant new museum projects, and the largest cultural infrastructure project in NSW since the Sydney Opera House. The project is being realised with $75 million support from our visionary and ambitious philanthropic and corporate partners. As the first NSW State Cultural Institution to be based in Western Sydney, Powerhouse Parramatta will be a transformational cultural precinct in one of the fastest growing and most diverse communities in Australia.

With over 18,000 sqm of exhibition and public space, Powerhouse Parramatta will deliver dynamic exclusive international exhibitions, learning and community programs attracting more than two million visitors in its first year.

Walker Family Foundation | Foundation Donor

The Walker Family Foundation is investing $20 million to create a world-first immersive STEM learning program at Powerhouse Parramatta. The Lang Walker Family Academy will feature direct connection with industry leaders, new levels of access for regional and remote students and overnight stays.

Western Sydney University | Foundation University

Western Sydney University is investing $10 million to develop the next generation of Australian innovators, scientists and entrepreneurs. This collaborative partnership will establish the WSU Gallery, an annual Scholar in Residence at Powerhouse Parramatta and support the Lang Walker Family Academy.

Holdmark Property Group

Holdmark Property Group is investing $10 million to establish the Holdmark Gallery. Holdmark will also support Sydney Design Week and collaborate with Western Sydney University on a multi-disciplinary summer school focused on urban design, transformation and holistic approaches to the built form.

Sir William Tyree Foundation

The Sir William Tyree Foundation is investing $8 million to establish the Tyree Foundation Gallery showcasing advances in engineering, technology and science. The Foundation will also support an annual week-long Australian Engineering Summit and school holiday programs for Western Sydney students.

Vitocco Charitable Foundation

The Vitocco Charitable Foundation is investing $5 million to establish the Vitocco Family Kitchen, with seating for up to 200 people, and the Vitocco Legacy Project. The Foundation’s multi-year commitment to culinary research and programming will integrate and expand the Powerhouse Australian Culinary Archives.

ING Australia | Community and Wellbeing Partner

ING Australia is investing $4 million to establish the ING Pavilion within the rooftop garden, which will become an important place of learning for communities of Western Sydney. It will also establish the ING Community Wellbeing Program, including seasonal workshops focused on sustainability, wellbeing and financial literacy.

Blacktown Arts | Foundational Cultural Partner

Blacktown Arts will amplify the arts and creative industries in Western Sydney through collaborations with the museum and local cultural organisations, including Vyva Entertainment, 4ESydney HipHop festival and Garage Graphix. The partnership will also establish WE'VE, a multi-year program focused on cultural weaving practices.

Neilson Foundation

NSW Premier Chris Minns, alongside Minister for the Arts John Graham, Minister for Lands and Property Steve Kamper and Member for Parramatta Donna Davis announced a major $5 million donation from the Neilson Foundation to Powerhouse Parramatta on Friday 30 May 2025.

Medich Foundation

The Medich Foundation’s generous commitment of $1 million will establish a 55-seat fully accessible state-of-the-art cinema on level 3 of the east building at Powerhouse Parramatta that will feature film screenings, cultural film festivals and speaker events directly connected to the museum’s creative program.

UNSW Sydney

The University of NSW is investing in a 3-year partnership with Powerhouse Parramatta to co-design a dynamic program and collaborate on research, education and industry engagement across science, engineering, design and the arts. The partnership strengthens Western Sydney as a world-class cultural and innovation destination, deepening connections between academia, industry, government and the community.

Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation

Powerhouse Parramatta and the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Foundation will collaborate to deliver a distinctive learning program that will connect with up to 10,000 young people each year. Activating the Powerhouse Rooftop Garden and Vitocco Family Kitchen as unique, purpose-designed spaces for hands-on practical learning, enabling students to engage directly with food, culture and sustainability.

Qantas

Powerhouse has announced a landmark 10-year partnership with Qantas, marking a major milestone in the development of Powerhouse Parramatta with the installation of the first object in the new museum.
