Powerhouse Late: Niu Niu
Local performer, curator, and community connector Stelly G is taking the reins at Powerhouse to curate an unforgettable evening of Niu Niu, where worlds of dance, music, film, performance art and energy seamlessly merge, offering a multisensory immersion within the museum's walls.
With performances by Western Sydney's founding ballroom house, The House of Slé, as well as the versatile artistic expressionist Vishnu Arunasalam, these performances will be harmoniously complemented by the musical prowess of Ballroom Australia's founding voice, rapper Jamaica Moana, and a DJ set by the enigmatic Kilimi. The visual dimension will be equally compelling, courtesy of Stelly G, Garden Reflexxx and Yemisul, showcasing films and visuals.
Niu Niu stands as a fresh yet ever-evolving creative ecosystem, serving as a haven for artists pushing boundaries in their respective domains and shining a light on local talents who have forged their unique paths, from the streets to the club and into the institutions.
