Celebrate the winter solstice at Sydney Observatory with an evening of stargazing, talks, and a choral performance.

The night will commence with Sydney Observatory resident and astronomer Dr Ángel R López-Sánchez talking about the winter solstice followed by fellow Sydney Observatory resident Michaela Gleave presenting Voyager 1. This choral performance, co-created with composer Amanda Cole, and programmer Warren Armstrong features singers from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Conservatorium High School.

The grounds will also host telescope viewing, Sydney Observatory history talks and an immersive projection experience developed in collaboration between Dr Anna Madeleine Raupach and Dr Diana Chester.
