Hosted by the Australian Copyright Council, this session provides essential copyright information for image-makers. Responding to the complexity and intricacies of working across digital and analogue platforms, the discussion will explore issues around licensing, compliance, managing risks and your rights as a creative practitioner.

Led by Australian Copyright Council CEO Eileen Camilleri, this session is recommended for creative industry professionals, photography and design students, and individuals passionate about image making.

Speaker

Eileen Camilleri is the chief executive officer of the Australian Copyright Council. After practising intellectual property law, Camilleri moved in-house to copyright management organisation APRA AMCOS. She has since taught and consulted in intellectual property, including at the College of Law where she spent 20 years writing, lecturing and working on course design. She was the assistant director of practitioner education, running the college’s master’s program. Camilleri is also a professional actor with a master’s in fine arts from the Queensland University of Technology.
