Inspired by the ‘One a Week’ project by designer Rachel Vosila and the Powerhouse MPavillion Chair commission, this free drop-in activity invites you to design a series of chairs that consider the properties and function of unique materials found in the Powerhouse Collection.

Using our design prompts, sketch your ideas into a zine. Select your favourite design and create a small model using upcycled materials. This activity is designed for all bodies and abilities and encourages family collaboration.

Artist

Rachel Vosila is a multidisciplinary designer and maker working mostly across object and furniture outcomes. After graduating from University of New South Wales Art and Design she worked across multiple roles in the industry before stepping out on her own and establishing her studio in 2015 with the One a Week project.
