Creative Studio: Engineering
Curious about how solar, wind and hydro power are shaping a more sustainable future? In this hands-on three-day workshop, learners aged 11–16 will explore the science, engineering and social impact of renewable energy.
Working in small groups, learners will tackle real-world challenges — from climate change and energy storage to clean transport — through storytelling, problem-solving and creative engineering.
Learners will go behind-the-scenes to explore Powerhouse Collection objects, including solar-powered vehicles and historic hydroelectric and climate action artefacts, while considering how energy systems shape communities, the environment and our future. Learners will also hear from Carmel Reyes, Head of Climate Action and Sustainability at the Powerhouse, about the renewable energy initiatives involved in running the museum.
Generously supported by the Sir William Tyree Foundation.
